Compassion for the Child You Were.
The Four-Year Old Project is a movement built to help individuals understand, heal, and overcome the trauma and effects of being exposed to sexually charged content as a kid.
To bring awareness and education to adults that have, and are still being harmed by what they were exposed to when they were younger, no matter how severe or frequent it was.
A world where individuals that have been exposed to sexual content very young can understand how that has affected them, to know they are not broken and there is nothing wrong with them. A lot of the time, we are exposed to material our bodies weren't meant to look at, our bodies might've said or done something our minds couldn't comprehend just yet.
This mission began with one man's story, a boy exposed to sexual content at just 4 years old, unknowingly shaped by the habits seen around him. What started as innocent curiosity became years of shame, guilt, confusion, and objectification. But through awareness and support, he found freedom. This movement was born out of that journey, to help others understand their past, to then understand themselves now.
Because sex is everywhere. Turning on the tv, there is sexually suggestive content, sex-related jokes, sexual innuendo, and non-explicit nudity. Not just tv shows, but movies, social media, and in our music. We exist to stop the normalization of children being exposed to indirect sexual content.
